Have you ever had a day when you are so “DONE” with people? Dumb question? Sure, you have! You are human and we are around people all the time. People can be rude, uncaring, selfish, mean, full of issues and a lot of the time used by evil spirits.
So, what do we do with this? Cry? Sometimes that is a good start! Get it out! But then you get past the “poor me” and ask the Lord to “Help”! For me I start with going to the Lord and repenting of how angry I got. Number two, I forgive the people who hurt me, I know it is a tough one. When you are ticked off at someone the last thing you want to do is forgive them but trust me God has it going on when He says to forgive. (Col. 3:13 & Matt. 6:14-15)
You aren’t saying it is ok for the way they treated you, you are saying, “God, I trust that you are going to fix this, and I don’t want anything or anyone to stand between me and you.” So, once you do that, you still might have hurt feelings, angry and still feel taken advantage of. But this is when you are doing it by faith! Just because you are still feeling emotions that doesn’t mean you haven’t forgiven.
Forgiveness is a process --- a tough one! But so needed and important, so do your best and constantly bring that person or people before the Lord and release them into His hands and pray for them and ask the Lord to restore what was taken. Wash your hands of the unforgiveness and hurt. It isn’t worth your relationship with God! People will come and people will go but, the Lord remains forever.
